2007年4月27日，复旦大学附属儿科医院与加拿大BC儿童医院国际儿童健康中心关于“中国－加拿大儿科感染与急救高级专科医师培训项目”在儿科医院多功能厅举行了隆重的签约仪式。
      中国－加拿大儿科感染与急救高级专科医师培训项目旨在促进和提高我国儿科传染感染专业和急救专业的诊断、治疗、预防、控制和规范化管理水平。项目面向全国招生，经中方专家组初步审核后，来自四川、贵州、吉林、福建、浙江、江苏和上海等地30余名申请者接受了加拿大和中国专家的共同面试。中外专家对申请者的学术背景、临床经验、未来发展潜能等方面表示满意，并决定将继续学员招募，并在适当时机面试第二批学员。
      会上复旦大学副校长桂永浩教授代表复旦大学感谢加拿大BC儿童医院基金会、BC儿童医院国际儿童健康中心、和项目的有关专家为培养中国高级儿科专科医师所作的贡献。加拿大驻沪领事Mr. Keith Kan先生代表加拿大政府和驻沪总领事馆对项目表示支持，感谢加拿大BC儿童医院等促进了加拿大与上海之间的交流与合作，加强了中加之间的友谊。
      儿科医院常务副院长黄国英教授代表儿科医院，感谢所有到场的嘉宾和为此项目所做出努力的人们。同时，希望首批参加该项目培训的中国医师们能够全面学习国际先进的医疗技术、管理模式和医疗理念，为中国儿童的健康做出新的贡献。
      感染与急救高级专科医师培训项目的签约再一次显示了我院的整体实力。培训项目将利用我院的资源优势，由中加双方专家在我院对学员进行半年至一年的临床和科研集中培训后到加拿大接受半年临床训练，然后再回到我院接受强化培训半年。培训项目不仅将促进我院有关专业向国际先进水平看齐，也将通过培训外地学员，强化我院学术辐射和领导能力，提高全国相关领域的水平，从而造福全国儿童。

在中国-加拿大儿科传染/感染病学与急救医学专科医师高级培训项目签约仪式上的讲话

Dear distinguished guests, friends, colleagues, ladies and gentlemen:
      Good afternoon!
      On behalf of the Children’s Hospital of Fudan University, I would like to extend my warm welcome to all of you to this signing ceremony for launching the China-Canada joint training programs for pediatric infectious disease and emergency medicine.
      Since founded in 1952, the Children’s Hospital has been dedicating to providing the finest possible pediatric patient care, education and research, and has become one of the most prestigious academic medical centers for children in China. The vision of the hospital is to be one of the best children’s medical center in Asia, to be a center for pediatric education with national influence, and to be the major bridge of academic exchanges between experts from China and abroad. International academic exchange has consistently been put on a highly priority in the hospital’s development. Annually, there are more than 80 lectures delivered by doctors and professors from all over the world. In 2004, we established the partnership with the Center for International Child Health at BC Children’s Hospital, and National Neonatal Network of Canada. We launched the neonatal training program and cardiac training program. The programs have not only trained teams of pediatric subspecialty leaders for our country, but also made significant improvements in our medical care for the special disorders as well. Today, I am very excited that the cooperation between CHFU and CICH has extended into new areas; two new nation-wide programs for infectious diseases and emergency medicine will be added.
      Although great achievements have been made during the past decade in the control of infectious diseases and in emergency medicine in China, variety infectious diseases as a whole is still a major killer to children in China nowadays and our service of emergency and intensive care still can not meet the desires from the public. May everybody here remember the SARS outbreak and avian flu, in which the collaboration efforts are needed to cope with the situation, especially the efforts from the specialists of infectious diseases and emergency medicine. This is the reason we decided to extend the collaboration with CICH to develop these two new programs.
      With the great contributions from CICH at BC children’s hospital, and the efforts from doctors and specialists from both Canada and China, I feel confident that these two new programs will achieve a full success, just as we have made in the neonatal program and cardiac program. These programs will improve our ability in coping with infectious diseases and in coping with critical ill children throughout the country, and thereby benefit all Chinese children, the future of China.
      Finally, I would like to take the opportunity to thank all individuals, friends, organizations and institutions from all over the world for their strong support to the development of Children’s Hospital of Fudan University.
