1.Overview
The Department of Stomatology at Children's Hospital of Fudan University was established in 1958. The department currently comprises 10 physicians (including 3 associated chief physicians, 6 attending physicians, and 1 resident physicians) and 6 nursing technicians/technologists.
Clinical covers oral health prevention, basic dental and pulp treatment, and orthodontic treatment. The department is the constructive unit of National Health Commission as a standardized early orthodontic treatment.
To date, the department has established a complete sequential treatment system for pediatric oral health.
2. Test and Procedures
Our specialists not only treat children and adolescents with diseases and conditions but also work with teams of doctors trained in many areas to determine the most appropriate treatment for each child's needs.
We offers several treatments and procedures, including but not limited to those listed below.
Oral health prevention includes topical fluoride application for primary and permanent teeth, pit and fissure sealants for molars, and periodontal scaling.Basic dental and pulp treatment includes dental pulp treatment for primary teeth, pediatric restorative dentistry, gingival and mucosal disease, retained primary teeth, supernumerary teeth, and tied labial/lingual frenum. Related orthodontics treatment includes preventive, interceptive and comprehensive treatment for primary, mixed and permanent dentition.
