He graduated from the Medical Department of Shanghai First Medical College in 1970. From 1987 to 1988, he went to London, England for further study of pediatric endocrinology. In 1991, he visited the Prince of Wales Hospital in Hong Kong. He is now chief physician, professor and master supervisor of Children's Hospital of Fudan University. Member of the Genetics and Endocrinology Group of Pediatric Society of Chinese Medical Association (former member), member of the Asia-Pacific Pediatric Endocrine Society (1999-2003 member), member of the International Association of Juvenile Diabetes (2000-2003 member), member of the Shanghai Pediatric Genetics and Endocrinology Group of Chinese Medical Association (1999-2003 member). Editorial board member of the Journal of Clinical Pediatrics, consultant of the Chinese Journal of Evidence-based Pediatrics, and invited member of the Chinese Journal of Diabetes. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of pediatric endocrine diseases such as pediatric diabetes, precocious puberty, short stature, obesity, thyroid disease, congenital adrenal hyperplasia and other endocrine genetic metabolic diseases. He has published many papers at home and abroad. He has participated in the compilation of 6 monographs, including the textbook of Pediatrics, the Clinical Manual of Pediatrics, and Modern Pediatric Endocrinology.
