Emphasizes translational research bridging clinical practice and basic science. Focuses on identifying and validating susceptibility genes for biliary atresia and related cholestatic liver diseases, and elucidating molecular pathogenic mechanisms underlying biliary tract disorders. Established a clinical cohort of pediatric patients with biliary atresia undergoing liver transplantation to explore correlations between genetic and clinical phenotypes, and to assess their clinical significance before and after transplantation. Successfully led one National Natural Science Foundation project and an additional research initiative.
Medical expertise:
Surgical treatment of pediatric end-stage liver diseases, including cholestatic liver diseases (biliary atresia, congenital cholestasis, PFIC, etc.), pediatric metabolic liver diseases (Wilson’s disease, lipid metabolism disorders, urea cycle enzyme deficiencies, organic acid metabolism disorders, etc.), and acute liver failure; procedures encompass both deceased-donor and living-donor liver transplantation.
Surgical management of benign and malignant pediatric liver tumors, such as hepatoblastoma, primary liver cancer, hepatic hemangioma, and focal nodular hyperplasia.
Microsurgical techniques in living-donor liver transplantation, including highly complex vascular and biliary reconstruction.
Long-term postoperative follow-up for pediatric liver transplant recipients, with specialized diagnosis and treatment of long-term complications such as rejection, vascular and biliary complications, chronic liver injury, and post-transplant lymphoproliferative disorder (PTLD).

Obtained a Ph.D. from Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine in 2014, under the supervision of Professor Qiang Xia.
Served at the Department of Liver Surgery, Renji Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, from January 2015 to January 2026.
Primarily engaged in clinical diagnosis and treatment related to pediatric liver transplantation, accumulating experience in nearly 2,000 pediatric liver transplant cases. Possesses extensive expertise in preoperative assessment, recipient surgery, and long-term postoperative follow-up. Committed to comprehensive management of pediatric cholestatic liver diseases (such as biliary atresia and cholestasis) and pediatric malignant liver tumors (including hepatoblastoma and hepatocellular carcinoma), focusing on improvements and innovations in liver transplantation techniques, as well as enhancement and refinement of long-term complication management. Additionally, precise hepatectomy for treating malignant liver tumors such as hepatoblastoma and hepatocellular carcinoma represents another key clinical focus.
